Tell us your level and dates: we reply with the final price per lesson or pack and the schedule built around tides and wind. Beginners start in the main bay with certified instructors (max 6–8 per group); intermediates move to the faster peaks of Sidi Kaouki or Moulay Bouzerktoun.
Every range below includes board, wetsuit, instructor and beach transfer when the lesson moves spot. Mornings usually have the cleanest conditions before the trade wind rises — in July and August the 9:00 slots go first.

I've never surfed. Is Essaouira good for beginners?
It's one of the best learn-to-surf bays in Africa: sandy bottom, no rocks, and mellow waves most of the year. Your instructor picks the section of beach matched to the day's conditions.
Wind worries me — will the lesson be cancelled?
The bay is surfable almost every day: lessons are scheduled by tide, and mornings are usually glassy before the trade wind. If conditions are genuinely unsafe, we reschedule free or refund. We check the forecast for you the day before.
Are board and wetsuit really included?
Yes, always — every range on this page includes board, wetsuit and instructor. No rental extras on the beach.
Can I book just one lesson and then decide on a pack?
Yes. If you upgrade to a pack within the same week, the first lesson counts towards the pack price.
Where do lessons take place?
Mainly in Essaouira's main bay, 5 minutes from the medina. Intermediate lessons move to Sidi Kaouki (25 min) when conditions are better there — transfer is included.
