How it works, straight talk
The classic tour (40–60€/person, 1.5–2h) runs along the ramparts, crosses the bay and circles the Îles de Mogador, home to Eleonora's falcons and a colony of gulls — landing is forbidden, but the boat gets close enough for photos. The sunset version (55–75€) adds the golden light on the Skala and often a drink on board.
Private hire (150–220€, up to 8–10 people) is the flexible option: your route, your schedule — combine the islands with a swim stop in a sheltered cove when the sea allows. All departures are confirmed against the swell forecast the day before.

Can you land on the Mogador islands?
No — they're a protected nature reserve (Eleonora's falcons) and landing is forbidden. The boat circles close enough for great photos of the old prison and the bird colonies.
Is the sea rough? I'm worried about seasickness.
The bay is sheltered, but it's still the Atlantic. We check the swell and confirm the day before; if conditions are poor we reschedule free or refund. Sensitive guests should take a tablet an hour before.
What's the best tour for photos?
The sunset cruise: the ramparts turn gold and the medina is lit from the west. Photographers also love the morning tour for the flat light on the blue boats in the port.
Are private boats really private?
Yes — 150–220€ is per boat, not per person: skipper, route and schedule are yours (within safety limits). For families of 4+ it's often better value than shared tickets.
